North Charleston man, 54, accused of committing sex acts on 2 girls

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - A North Charleston man wasarrested after family members accused him of sexually assaulting at least twoyoung girls.

According to a North Charleston police report, 54-year-old ArchieThomas Adair was accused by family members of having inappropriate sexualcontact with two juvenile girls repeatedly over the last six weeks.

The report states that the parents of the girls suspectedsomething after hearing Adair make lewd comments about the girls. After askingthe girls about Adair, both provided details of their sex assaults.

On March 2, police met up with Adair at a theme park inNorth Charleston where he was chaperoning three other girls. When police toldhim why they were looking for him, he hung his head, the report reads.

The three girls with Adair were returned to their parentsand Adair was taken to City Hall to meet with detectives. The family of thegirls also met with detectives, the report reads.

Adair was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conductwith a minor. His bond was set at $25,000.

He is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.{}
