North Charleston man arrested on drug charges in NC

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WCIV) - A North Charleston man wasarrested in North Carolina Wednesday on drug charges.

According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office,27-year-old Kyle Whitney Anderson was arrested by the department's narcoticsunit.

Anderson was charged with possession with intent tomanufacture, sell, or distribute MDMA, two counts of trafficking MDMA, and maintaininga vehicle or dwelling.

During a search of Anderson's car, officials found 174 gramsof MDMA valued at over $27,000. Using the information of Anderson's arrest,North Charleston police executed a warrant at Anderson's home and found a kiloof MDMA.

Deputies say Anderson was stopped on Highway 17 in the townof Calabash, N.C. The arrest was the culmination of a six-month investigationinto drug activity in the area. {}
