Summerville man charged with exploitation of minors
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) -- A Summerville man was arrested on sexual exploitation charges and will be prosecuted by the state Attorney General's Office.
According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, 65-year-old James Curtis Miles was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of minors after Berkeley County deputies alerted officials to images of children in various sex acts that had been sent from Miles' computer.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Thursday and confiscated a laptop and 500 DVDs for evidence.
If convicted, Miles faces a 10-year prison sentence on each count. His bond was set at $12,000.
