Summerville man found dead inside home Tuesday, case being treated as a homicide
SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) —
The Dorchester County Coroner's Office has ruled a man's death a homicide, after the victim was found dead inside his home near SummervilleTuesday.
According to Dorchester County Coroner Paul Brothers, Michael Waylon Goettsch, 35, was discovered dead at his Carmon Street residence near Summerville at approximately 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Goettsch's manner and cause of death have not been released. Brothers says Goettsch's body has been taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for an autopsy.
Capt. Tony Phinney with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says more information about the incident will be released on Wednesday.
