Suspect arrested after standoff at home near Summerville
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man is in custody after a long standoff at a home near Summerville.
According to Lt. Rita Zelinsky, spokesperson for the sheriff's office, deputies were originally called to a home along the 3400 block of Fletton Way shortly after 6:15 p.m. Monday for a domestic dispute.
About six hours later, deputies were able to make forced entry and arrest 37-year-old Ismael Galvan.
He was taken to the Charleston County Detention Center. Officials say he, nor officers were injured during the standoff.
Galvan appeared in court Tuesday morning and was granted a $50,000 bond on a resisting arrest charge and a $75,000 bond on a charge of first degree domestic violence.
