Three arrested for drugs at Summerville Comfort Suites

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three people were arrested Friday after deputies witnessed a parking lot drug deal at a Summerville hotel.

According to a release from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, agents with their Drug Enforcement Unit saw a "hand to hand narcotics transaction" go down in the parking lot of the Comfort Suites on Jockey Ct. Friday.

Officials said the agents found 9gg of meth on one of the three suspects and searched their hotel room once they found out the suspects were staying there.

According to the report, agents then found three handguns, a large amount of ammo, 15gg of marijuana and two sheets of LSD in the room.

Brandon JoshuaKirby, 27,{} of Summerville, 28-year-old Amber Crystal Ghassmzadeh of Moncks Corner and34-year-old Thomas Edward Fox of North Charleston were arrested.

Kirby and Ghassmzadeh were charged with possession of marijuana with intent todistribute and possession of LSD.{}Kirby was also charged with as a felon in possession of a firearm.

Fox was charged with themanufacture and distribution of a form of methamphetamine known as "crystalice" and possession with intent to distribute LSD.
