Two arrested in Colleton for active meth lab

ROUND O, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two people were arrested Saturday after Colleton County Sheriff's Office deputies and SWAT team members raided a home on Cannon Road.

According to CCSO spokesperson Ted Stanfield, the Colleton County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team (SRT) served a search warrant on the home and found evidence of a meth lab.

Deputies reported finding "a moderate sized one-pot operation" that was found to be .

Drug Enforcement Agency agents responded to the scene and processed the lab.{}

Stanfield said they found a quantity of methamphetamine, two active "one-pots," and a cache of chemicals, bi-product, and lab equipment.{}

Colleton County Fire/Rescue also responded and decontaminated the two suspects before they were taken to the Colleton County Detention Center.

Stacy Lynn Gibson, 35, and 44-year-old Frank Smith, Jr. were arrested and charged with possession of meth and distribution/manufacturing of crack cocaine.
