Undercover detective catches Charleston County man soliciting minors online, deputies say
SEABROOK ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) —
A Seabrook Island man is in jail, charged with five counts of criminal solicitation of a minor.
Charleston County Sheriff’s Office detectives say James Jones, 69, coerced who he believed was a 14-year-old he met on the internet to perform sexual acts.
The 14-year-old actually was an undercover detective.
Jones will go before a judge Thursday morning.
