North Charleston "Walk to End Alzheimer's" postponed by Irma's effects
The biggest annual event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research in the country has been postponed North Charleston.
The annual “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” will now take place Saturday Sept, 23, at the Riverfront Park in North Charleston.
The event, held in over 600 communities nationwide, was originally scheduled to take place Sept. 16 in North Charleston, but due to Tropical Storm Irma has been postponed.
Pre-registration for the walk will now be held Sept. 21, at the Alzheimer’s Association office, from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
So far, the association’s fundraising efforts have reached $200,761 Their goal is $310,000.
