Baby teething toy sold at Target recalled for choking, gagging
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A teething toy shaped like a monkey has been recalled because it poses a choking hazard to young children.
According to a release by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the 'Coco the Monkey' Go Gaga Squeeze & Teethe by Infantino is being recalled because the company has gotten seven reports of infants choking or gagging on the monkey's tail. No injuries have been reported.
This squeaking toy is made of soft orange rubber, measures 4.5 inches tall by 5 inches long, and is shaped like a monkey.
"Infantino" is marked on the back toward the rear and model number 206-647 is marked on the inside of the rear left leg. Products with model number 206-949 are not affected.
If you have one of the 191,000 units sold, take the recalled toy away from infants and contact Infantino to receive a free replacement toy.
