BCSD: No lockdown or direct threat to Goose Creek High School
Officials with Berkeley County School District say there was concern over a message shared on social media Thursday that resulted in a "short investigation" at the school.
Goose Creek High School was never placed on a lockdown, but school officials say they were quick to involve law enforcement after viewing the message shared on Snapchat.
"After a short investigation, the individual responsible for the message was located, and it was determined that there was no direct threat to GCHS," Berkeley County School District public information officer Katie Tanner said.
There were reports of law enforcement officers escorting students into the school. School officials say that was not the case.
ABC News 4 has reached out to law enforcement officials for specifics on their involvement, and we have not yet heard back.
