Charleston County Coroner's Office identifies inmate who died in Al Cannon cell
The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified the inmate who was found dead in his cell Saturday monring.
Officials say, sometime after 6:30 A.M. 57-year-old Ronald Bernard Norman was discovered dead by a deputy during his security rounds.
The deputy reported Norman was laying in his bed, lifeless, when his body was found.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office has yet to determine Norman's cause of death.
Per the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation has been requested to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to look into the death of Ronald B. Norman at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center.
