Charleston installing new parking meters that take credit cards
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) —
Soon you won't need to worry about carrying coins with you to park in the City of Charleston.
The city is planning to install card readers on its 1,700 parking meters.
Those new meters will accept credit cards, debit cards and prepaid smart cards. They'll also still accept coins.
