Colleton County home damaged by gunfire; Deputies looking for suspect
A Colleton County woman woke up Tuesday morning to find her home damaged by gunfire. The sheriff's office is now investigating the situation that has those living in the home concerned about their safety and the well-being of a 3-year-old in the home.
According to an incident report provided by the Colleton County Sheriff's Office, a woman living at 310 Windmere Lane heard gunfire at around 1 a.m., walked around and didn't see anything. But as the sun rose the next morning, she found bullet holes in a kitchen window, in a wall and in the refrigerator.
The woman called the sheriff's office and deputies arrived to find several shell casings on the ground, about 20 feet from the home.
Deputies are currently looking for the person responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Colleton County Sheriff's Office.
