Dorchester Paws trying to save dog after owner neglects her

On Nov. 10, Dorchester County Animal Control brought a dog to Dorchester Paws.
The puppy was severely thin and had sustained blunt for trauma to her head, exposing her skull.
According to staff, despite the pups injuries she was very loving.
The staff named the pup Xena because of her fighting spirit.
Xena will undergo surgery Today, Nov. 13 with all care paid for by the Michael’s Healing Heart Fund.
Dorchester County has confirmed, Xena’s owner has been issued a citation, but no court date has been set.
