Former S.C. Representative will be sentenced for misconduct Monday, reports say
Sentencing for former Lexington Representative, Rick Quinn, is set for Monday at 9:30 A.M. in Beaufort.
He was the third Republican to plead guilty in the investigation of misconduct in office, this past December.
The Lexington Republican is accused of using campaign donations for personal profit.
Quinn’s lawyers believe he should avoid jail time because the prosecutor has not sought tough sentences in a number of other cases.
The other two former lawmakers who pled guilty received probationary sentences, but the prosecutor is asking for prison time for Quinn.
The former Representative could be sentenced to up to one year in prison.
