H&M to open first Charleston area location this fall

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- H&M, a popular Swedish retailer, announced this week it will open its first store in Charleston this fall.

H&M, which stands for Hennes & Mauritz, will debut in the King Street Fashion District in the site of the former Williams and Sonoma store.

The store will include collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate sections for lingerie, maternity, sports apparel and accessories, a release from the company said.

H&M has 296 locations across the U.S.
