Joint Base Charleston crew on their way to Florida to help with evacuation efforts
A medical evacuation team from Joint Base Charleston deployed to Florida, today to aid in Hurricane Irma relief.
The crew from the 315th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron deployed to McDill Airforce base to help with evacuating medical patients from hurricane affected areas in the Caribbean.
The team consists of flight nurses, medical technicians and medical administrative personnel.
The Squadron's primary mission is to evacuate service members with medical needs during times of war but it is often called on to assist during times of medical emergencies.
