Men killed in plane crash near Berkeley County line identified
Two people killed in a small plane crash in the Greeleyville area of Williamsburg County have been identified.
The Williamsburg County Coroner's Office reports 66-year-old Henry Haddock of Salters and 47-year-old Kenneth Britton of Summerton died of "multiple system blunt force trauma."
The coroner's office also reports Haddock was the owner and pilot of the plane.
According to the FAA, the Cessna 401B aircraft crashed at around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office reports the area is nearer to the Gourdin community, near the town of Lane, a few miles north of the Berkeley County-Williamsburg County line.
The circumstances of the crash have not yet been released. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will continue to investigate.
