Teen charged in Summerville movie theater shooting
Summerville, South Carolina —
According to Summerville Police Department, a teenage suspect has been charged in Saturday night’s movie theater shooting.
18-year-old Ryan Schwein has been charged by the Summerville Police Department in the shooting of another teenager at Regal Azalea Square Stadium 16 on Azalea Square Boulevard.
According to witnesses, the victim knew Schwein and entered his car before they went into the movies.
Police say witnesses told them Schwein pulled out a revolver and held it to the victim’s head, asking for his valuables.
Witnesses go on to say the victim refused to give Schwein his belongings and that’s when Schwein shot him, according to police.
Schwein has been arrested by the Summerville Police Department on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
There is no word yet on the victim’s condition.
