RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) —
An 83-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck Friday in Berkeley County, according to officials.
State Troopers say a car collided with a tow truck Friday evening around 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 176 and Mudville Road.
According to Highway Patrol, a person in a Chrysler 300 was traveling down Mudville Road, and missed the stop sign.
The tow truck hit the Chrysler in the driver's door when the sedan entered the intersection, State Troopers say.
Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury has identified the man killed in the wreck as George Pringle, 83, of Ridgeville.
Authorities say Pringle was trapped inside the vehicle, and died at the scene.
