One person injured in 3-car wreck on James Island Connector

Charleston Police say one person suffered non-life threatening injuries in a three-vehicle wreck Friday night on the James Island Connector.,

The wreck occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. near the Lockwood Boulevard off-ramp entering Charleston.

The injured person was taken to MUSC for treatment of their injuries, police say.

Traffic congestion occurred in the area for a time, as one lane was closed while emergency crews worked to remove people from the vehicles after the wreck. The scene has since been cleared.
