CHARLETSON, S.C. (AP) - Revenues at South Carolina's ports were up sharply during the fiscal year that ended June 30th.
The South Carolina Ports Authority reports that revenues for the fiscal year were $164 million, a 17 percent increase over the previous year.
Operating earnings were about $14 million. That's about 20 percent above the agency's projections.
The ports authority says the April-through-June quarter of this year was the strongest quarter for the ports since 2007 when the Great Recession began.Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
