North Charleston Police are looking for suspects in an armed robbery at the Captain D's on Rivers Avenue Tuesday night.

Officers say the store manager told them two black men with handguns came in the store just before 10 p.m.and stole roughly $1,500.

The manager told police one of the armed men forced three store employees to lie down on the floor, threatening to shoot them if they moved.

Meanwhile, the manager says the other suspect forced him to open the restaurant’s safe at gunpoint, also threatening his life if he didn’t cooperate.

After grabbing the cash, the store manager tells police the suspects ran out the back door of the restaurant.

North Charleston Police brought in a K9 officer to track the suspects, but police say the dog lost the trail near an abandoned house behind the Autozone on Rivers Avenue. Investigators believe the two men got into a car there and drove away.

People in the store described the suspects to police as black men about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, wearing all black clothes, black gloves and makeshift black masks.

Police say the restaurant did not have surveillance video, and investigators say they couldn’t find anything related to the robbery lying around when searching the area.
