Ruth's Chris moves into Charleston this fall

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The French Quarter Inn in downtown Charleston's historic district will have a new neighbor this fall. Ruth's Chris is moving in.

Co-owners Mark and Nancy Oswald already own three Ruth's Chris restaurants in the Palmetto State and have decided to expand into the Holy City.

"It is exceptionally fitting that our Charleston restaurant will be situated adjacent to the French Quarter Inn as New Orleans is the birthplace of the Ruth's Chris brand and a significant part of our culinary heritage," emphasized Nancy Oswald.

"We are proud to be working closely with the French Quarter Inn and The Spectator Hotel, both managed by Charlestowne Hotels, to deliver a world class dining experience to guests at Ruth's Chris," Oswald added.

Palmetto Commercial Properties principals and owners of the restaurant space, Jay Keenan and Batson Hewitt look forward to the addition of Ruth's Chris to the Southern hospitality experience already provided at the French Quarter Inn.

"We have great confidence that Ruth's Chris will prove to be a popular choice for both visitors and locals alike and take pride in knowing the Ruth's Chris team will treat guests just as we do at French Quarter Inn with very special attention and care," said Keenan.
