Showers, thunderstorms expected Saturday
There will be one more hot day in the 90s before a weekend cooldown arrives. Today will still near 90 with a few more clouds that will continue to thicken after sunset.
Saturday looks soggy as a storm system rolls through the Carolinas and eventually off the coast in the late afternoon. Rain totals look decent, but not overly impressive with most areas topping out at one inch or less.
Mother's Day will be gorgeous with lower humidity, lots of sun and highs in the lower 80s. Most of next week will feature abundant sunshine and temperatures warming up a few degrees each afternoon.
Friday, partly sunny, still warm, highs 84-90.
Friday night, mostly cloudy, scattered showers, lows 68-73.
Saturday, showers and thunderstorms, highs 78-80.
