Suspect arrested in Saturday's fatal hit-and-run in Hollywood

On Wednesday, deputies arrested 40-year old Alicia Dondrea Mitchell of Hollywood and charged her with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death in connection to Saturday's auto-pedestrian fatality in Hollywood.

Her bond hearing will be held Thursday at 9 a.m.

On Monday, the Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 24-year-old Jeremiah Carpenter of Hollywood, South Carolina.

According to Charleston County deputies, Carpenter was hit by a car on the 6100 block of Dixie Plantation Road, he was then transported to MUSC where he later died.
