Suspect in deadly Georgetown County hit-and-run turns himself in

A man suspected of hitting and killing another person with a car Monday night in Georgetown County is in jail after turning himself into authorities Tuesday.

William Colton Fulton, 22, is in the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. He is charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and leaving the scene of a crash involving a death.

According to S.C. Highway Patrol, Fulton is believed to have struck with his car a person walking along Highway 51 in Georgetown Monday night. The victim later died.

The Georgetown County Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as Aric Myers of East Windsor, Connecticut.
