Victim identified in deadly Monday wreck on Ravenel Bridge
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) —
Authorities have identified the person killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday on the Ravenel Bridge as a 78-year-old Berkeley County man.
The Charleston County Coroner's Office says James A. Wiggins, of Jamestown, died as a result of blunt force injuries.
Charleston Police say Wiggins was the passenger in a disabled vehicle around 6:30 p.m. Monday, when another vehicle rear-ended Wiggins' car just past the I-26 interchange on the Ravenel Bridge, northbound.
Wiggins died at the scene, officials say. The drivers of both vehicles involved in the wreck were hospitalized.
