SULLIVAN'S ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) - Repairs to a broken water main under Charleston Harbor have been made, which means the outdoor watering restriction on Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms has been lifted.
The ban was put in place as a precaution by Charleston Water System until the 20-inch main could be repaired.
Officials say the leak was stopped Sunday and put back into service Monday.
Charleston Water System officials said there are plans to put in another clamp just to reinforce the pipe.
Officials have yet to determine what caused the leak.
