Yahoo says the most recent breach may have affected all email users
After the most recent Yahoo Breach announcement, the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs is encouraging Yahoo Mail users to secure their online accounts.
The breach was previously disclosed by the company in December.
While the Yahoo initially reported that one billion addresses were compromised during 2013, it has now released it is likely every Yahoo Mail user who had an address in 2013 was affected.
Information that was stolen could include names, email addresses, phone numbers, and even birth dates.
South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs is asking the public to report scams to the Identity Theft Unit online or by calling 844-835-5322.
