VIDEO | Kids have priceless reactions to news mom is pregnant
Two siblings had two very different reactions to the news that there's another member of the gang on the way.
The now viral video shown above (it's also on YouTube, if you're having trouble viewing it) shows the reactions of Rylie and Ezra to news that their mother is going to have a new baby.
The video starts with the Mom handing the boy and girl new stuffed animals that say "Big Brother" and "Big Sister Again."
Mom and Dad, who's videoing, then spend a few minutes trying to help the youngsters figure out what it all means.
The conversation goes like this:
Girl: “Why’s it say this? Big sister, again?”
Dad: “Why would it say that?”
Girl: “You’re weird.”
Mom: “What would that mean?”
Girl: “That means I have two siblings?”
Girl: “I don’t. That’s weird. You’re saying you’re pregnant?”
Girl: “You’re pregnant?”
Girl: “You’re pregnant?!”
Boy: “You’re going to have a baby in your stomach?”
A few seconds pass. An initially excited Rylie suddenly has a much different take on it all.
Mom: “Are you happy?”
Girl: “YOU’RE PREGNANT?!”
And then the waterworks start.
Girl, sobbing: “YOU SHOULD’VE TOLD ME THAT, I THOUGHT THAT WAS A JOKE!”
Mom: “I just found out.”
Girl: “REALLY-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y?! NOOOOO-O-O-O-O-O-O! [Wailing and sobbing]. I DON’T WANT A LITTLE BABY BROTHER!
Mom: “What if it’s a little girl?”
Girl: “IT’S GONNA BE SO BAAAADDDDD!”
Mom: “I thought you said you wanted a little baby?”
Girl: “I want a baby sister.”
Mom: “But what if it is a girl? We don’t know that.”
The little boy interjects with impeccable timing.
Boy: “NOPE! Maybe you’re gonna’ have two!”
Mom was not thrilled with that forecast.
The daughter had calmed briefly, but then she started thinking about the logistics of having a third kid at home.
Girl: “We’re going to have to move to house with three rooms, and I’m not — WAIT! If we stay in this house, he’s, the baby’s going to sleep in Ezra’s (little brother’s) room!
Mom: “What if the baby sleeps in our room?
Girl: “That’s better.”
She didn't stay placated for long, though.
Girl: "There’s going to be DOUBLE the annoying kids in the house now."
