While the video above is sure to make you chuckle, those with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say drunk driving is no laughing matter.

This video provided by the South Carolina highway patrol shows students at Lower Richland High School using "beer goggles" to experience what it's like to drive and experience a sobriety test after a few too many drinks.

The visit to the school is part of the highway patrol's effort to promote prom safety and discourage drunk driving among high school students.

The next stop in the Lowcountry will be at Woodland High School in Dorchester County on April 27.
