Citadel baseball team routs Winthrop, 34-8

Thirty-four runs is unheard of in baseball. Plain and simple, it rarely happens. But, that's how many runs The Citadel scored against Winthrop University Tuesday night.

The 34-8 win is the biggest win so far this year in Division I NCAA baseball.

ABC News 4's Scott Eisberg has the recap and highlights in the video above.

Taking the win on the mound for the Bulldogs was Aaron Lesiak (2-0).

Playing a large role in the Bulldog's 34 run was Barrett Charpia with two home runs and nine RBI.

The Bulldogs, 5-10, will next host a 4-game series with Dartmouth with the first game scheduled for Thursday at 4 p.m.
