Deshaun Watson gives first NFL paycheck to women who lost cars, homes to Hurricane Harvey
Former Clemson great Deshaun Watson gifted his first NFL paycheck from the Houston Texans to three women who lost cars and homes to Hurricane Harvey when it struck southeast Texas in late August.
Watson, 22, felt compelled to give back to those in need after the devastation caused by the hurricane, and chose three women who work in the Texans' cafeteria preparing meals for the team each day.
"I really appreciate you all, so I wanted to give my first game check to you all to help you all out some type of way,” Watson told the women. “Hopefully that gets you guys back on your feet, and anything you all need, I’m always here to help."
