Monicah Ngige wins women's race of bridge run for 2nd year
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) —
For the second straight year, 23-year-old Monicah Ngige has won the Cooper River Bridge Run for the second straight year.
Ngige finished the race with a time of 32:40.
"The hill, I knew would be tough because of the wind," Ngige said.
The two-time winner said she got plenty of cheers from spectators, and hopes she will be back again in 2018.
She said her big move came at the 5-mile mark.
