HIGHLIGHTS: Porter-Gaud falls to Ben Lippen in SCISA title game, 27-21

It was one of those back-and-forth games that could have gone either way. In the end, it favored Ben Lippen.

The Ben Lippen Falcons won their first ever SCISA title on the back of Virginia Tech commit Bryce Thompson. Thompson had about 170 rushing yards on the night and took the ball to the house from 10 yards out in the first play of overtime for the 27-21 win.

“There’s really nothing to be ashamed of, to be upset about,” said Porter-Gaud head coach Rick Reetz. “This game could have gone either way. We played 13 more minutes, it could have gone the other way too. It’s just two evenly-matched teams, and we came up on the short end of the stick today.”

The Cyclones were led on office by Eric Jackson with 27 carries for 137 yards.
