Former Stratford Head Football Coach Ray Stackley (WCIV)

Former Stratford Head Football Coach Ray Stackley retired three years ago, but he's continuing his winning ways.

Stackley was one of a handful of coaches recognized with the Distinguished Coach Award from the South Carolina High School Football Coaches Association at an event in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, February 18.

Coach Stackley is no stranger to being recognized. He coached for three decades, working to turn football players into successful men. In 2008 he was inducted into the South Carolina Coaches Association's Hall of Fame.

Stackley's 2014 retirement announcement was emotional. He said he needed to retire to spend more time with his four grandchildren.
