No. 9 Baylor women add 2 to national letters
WACO, Texas (AP/WCIV) - Baylor coach Kim Mulkey says two standout post players have signed national letters of intent to join the ninth-ranked Lady Bears next season.
Signing Wednesday to attend Baylor were Dekeiya Cohen, a 6-foot-2 power forward from South Carolina, and 6-3 post Micayla Buckner.
Mulkey says the players provide speed and athleticism at the post position.
Cohen averaged 26.7 points, 13 rebounds, 4.7 steals, 4.1 assists and 3.5 blocks last season as a junior at West Ashley High School in Charleston, S.C.
Bucker averaged 13.3 points and 12.2 rebounds for Naaman Forest High in Garland, Texas, as a junior last season.

Two Bishop England students signed letters of intent Tuesday afternoon. Matthew Adams signed with the University of Alabama for swimming, and Michele Boykin signed with Hillsdale College of Michigan for basketball.
Four student at Academic Magnet signed letters. Alexandra Gilbert signed with Columbia College for women's lacrosse. James Koval signed with West Virginia University for men's swimming. Hunter Leckonby signed with Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia for women's lacrosse. And Tyre Moore signed with Mercer University for men's basketball.
