Video: Zion Williamson leads Spartanburg Day to three-peat in final high school game
SUMTER, SC (WACH) -- One of the most celebrated high school careers across the nation in recent years came to a close this weekend. In his final game with Spartanburg Day, Zion Williamson finished with 38 points in the Griffins 74-41 blowout win over Trinity-Byrnes for the SCISA 2A State.
As the clock ran out, fans stormed the court surrounding Zion trying to take pictures with the Duke commit, while some ran out with markers and pens in hopes to snag an autograph.
The scene was so wild that parents and security had to step in to give Zion space in order for him to accept the state championship trophy with his teammates. He was then escorted off by police to the locker room where hundreds lined up hoping to have a chance to see Zion.
