One man killed in car vs. tractor-trailer accident



    NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A 50-year-old Goose Creek man died Friday night after being injured in a car accident on Rivers Avenue.

    According to the Charleston County Coroner's Office, Bernard Frost was taken to MUSC after his car became trapped under a tractor-trailer.

    Police say the accident happened around 2 p.m when the driver of the 18-wheeler pulled out of Beaufort Street onto Rivers Avenue and failed to see the Frost's car coming.

    Firefighters were called to the accident scene to help free Frost from the crushed car.

    He later died at the hospital.

    At this time no charges have been filed. The accident is being investigated by North Charleston Police.
