Police: Car pulls out in front of a motorcycle, seriously injuring biker



    GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV)-- A motorcyclist was sent to MUSC with serious injuries following a collision with a car.The accident happened Thursday just before 10 a.m. on St. James Avenue in front of La Petite Academy daycare.According to Goose Creek police, a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle was traveling west on St. James Ave. in the outermost lane when a 1989 Honda Civic pulled onto the highway from the daycare in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into the driver's side of the car.The motorcycle driver, 58-year-old Stephen Flowers of Moncks Corner, was seriouslyinjured and was transported to MUSC by Omniflight. Police say he was wearing his helmet.The driver of the car, 21-year-old Alexandria Poplin of Goose Creek, was not injured. She was wearing her seatbelt.
