New owner of The Gin Joint: 'We're not changing they way you drink with us...'
The secret is out about The Gin Joint’s new owner. With great pleasure James Bolt would like to announce he has purchased the East Bay Street establishment. On August 16th, 2017 he officially signed the paperwork for the business to change hands.
Official statement from The Gin Joint:
“To Our Loyal Customers,
We can finally let the cat out of the bag! We just wanted to let you know The Gin Joint is under new ownership. Former Beverage Director James Bolt has purchased your favorite East Bay Street watering hole. Don’t worry, not too much will change, since James has been helping you imbibe for the last 4 years. We’re not changing the way you drink with us, just turning a new page. You have always been our valued customers and we plan to keep it that way. In the meantime keep an eye out on social media for updates and tweaks as unique as our cocktails.
The Gin Joint Team”
James Bolt purchased Grand Crew LLC, which The Gin Joint operates under. While James is the new owner of the downtown cocktail bar, the establishment’s management wants to assure customers it will continue to operate the same way it has for the past seven years. James Bolt has been helping Charleston imbibe at The Gin Joint for the last four years. He has also acted as the establishment’s beverage director for the last two years.
James is a 2013 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and the 2017 winner of Charleston Wine + Food Festival’s Iron Mixologist competition.
