Jill Dahan's healthy chocolate chip cookies

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Try this simple recipe for a healthy alternative to chocolate chip cookies from Jill Dahan.

Yummy "Healthy" Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup (4oz) almond flour*

1/4 cup coconut sugar

1/2 tsp baking powder (non-aluminum)

2 tbsp (2oz) butter or ghee

1 tsp molasses organic unsulphured

1 tsp vanilla bean paste

1 large egg

2 oz dark chocolate chips


Mix butter or ghee with molasses, vanilla and egg.{} Mix in almond flour, sugar, baking powder and chips. Drop by tablespoonful onto baking parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes until lightly browned.{} Cool onpaper and enjoy.{} *To make your own almond flour, simply grind about 3/4 cup of whole blanched almonds in a blender to{} make 1 cup almond flour.
