ALDI recalls fruits over listeria worries
ALDI grocery stores throughout the southeast are recalling several bagged fruits over worries about possible listeria contamination.
ALDI says it has voluntarily recalled 2-pound bags of "Rio Duero"-brand peaches, nectarines and plums "out of an abundance of caution."
The fruits were available for purchase in ALDI stores located in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, as well as online via the Instacart
ALDI says its supplier of the fruits notified the company of fears about possible listeria contamination, so the grocery chain immediately removed the products from its store shelves.
No illnesses related to these products have been reported, ALDI says.
