Police have arrested a fourth person on a murder charge connected to a Sept. 2016 homicide in North Charleston, bringing the total to five arrests in the case.

Antoine Gill, 33, was booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center on Monday morning, Feb. 5, following his arrest by the North Charleston Police Department.

According to NCPD spokesman Spencer Pryor, officers served a warrant and arrested Gill Sunday at Trident Medical Center, after learning he was there receiving treatment following an unrelated assault incident.

Gill and three other men have been charged with murder for the death of Ivan Greene on on Hassell Avenue in North Charleston, Sept. 23, 2016.

According to police, Greene was shot at a Hassell Avenue home by people who pulled up outside in a black Lincoln Navigator, then opened fire.

Greene later died from his wounds at MUSC. Police found the SUV crashed into a utility pole near the shooting scene, but no one was inside.

Police say Gill in a phone conversation with a friend at the hospital Sunday admitted he was driving the vehicle the night of Greene's death.

Previously, police arrested Brandon Grayer in December 2017, and both Maurice Washington and Randall Myers in December 2016.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents also arrested Myers' mother, Patricia, in December 2016 as she boarded a cruise ship in Charleston. Myers was wanted by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office for obstruction of justice regarding knowledge of her son's alleged involvement in Greene's murder.
