8 arrested in North Charleston prostitution sting

Police arrested nine people on prostitution-related charges on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

North Charleston police arrested eight people Wednesday night in an ongoing prostitution sting.

Many of the arrests happened on Remount Road or Rivers Avenue.

Police charged Michael Butler, Herbert Frink, Hezzy Croney, Harold Ravenell, Brady Battle Townes, Jeremy Bailem, and Jason Bailem with solicitation of prostitution. Croney was also charged with marijuana possession.

Tony Middleton Jr. was charged with breach of peace.

Jail records also show Victoria McLaurin was charged with prostitution by Charleston City police on Wednesday.

Most of the people arrested have already bonded out of jail. The charge for prostitution and solicitation carries a $470 fine.
