CPD releases world's greatest surveillance photos in attempt to catch suspect

We don't want to jump to conclusions, but we aren't the only ones looking at these photos and thinking this suspect could be found QUICKLY.

Surveillance photos cross our news desk daily, and these are some of the clearest we have EVER seen.

The Charleston Police Department released the images Wednesday, saying the man in the photos is a suspect in a shoplifting incident at East Bay Liquors at 289 East Bay Street in downtown Charleston.

According to an incident report, the suspect was in the store while on his cell phone. Workers at the store heard him speaking to another person about splitting the cost of a liquor purchase.

After his card was declined for the purchase twice, the suspect grabbed a $119 (after tax) bottle of Crown Royal XR and walked out of the store. The report indicates he ignored a worker who followed him out of the store and got into a white Chevrolet Cavalier. The plates on the Cavalier, police say, came back registered to a Chrysler Pacifica.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
