Credit card skimmer found at North Charleston gas station

North Charleston Police say a skimming device for stealing people's credit card information was found Tuesday on a gas pump at the Circle K on 8700 Rivers Avenue, near Otranto Road.

Police say the device was located inside pump No. 7, and officers believe it had been in place for no more than a day.

According to police, no other pumps at the station were fitted with any such devices.

If you have used Pump No. 7 at the Circle K at 8700 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston in the last two days, police urge you to monitor your bank accounts, and say you should consider having the card canceled and a new one issued.
