Dorchester County woman murdered ex-husband with shotgun, sheriff's office says
A Dorchester County woman is charged with murdering her ex-husband in a shooting Tuesday evening, according to authorities.
Ella LaQuarles Harrison-Elmore, 29, reportedly confessed to shooting Darren Elmore twice with a shotgun at her Reevesville home Tuesday after an argument Tuesday evening, according to an affidavit provided by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies investigating the incident found Darren Elmore, 42, of Bowman, unresponsive in the back yard of the home following the incident, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, an incident report shows.
Harrison-Elmore has reportedly signed a written confession, and witnesses claim she told them she was going to shoot Elmore prior to going through with the act, according to the sheriff's office.
Harrison-Elmore is currently in jail at the Dorchester County Detention Center awaiting bond hearing.
